ANNOUNCED: PSAC Suspends Competition Through Fall Semester

Earlier today, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced that they will be suspending competition for all fall sports through the upcoming fall semester.

The conference also stated that they have "undertaken a full review of its ability to shift fall sports competition and championships to the spring semester and fully intends to do so if a return to competition can be safely executed".

The PSAC has not yet determined a date when workouts and practices for winter and spring sports may begin.

The PSAC joins the CIAA and SIAC as D2 conferences that will not be having fall sports in 2020. The conference has been home to a handful of respectable distance programs in the Atlantic region over the past few years such as Edinboro and Shippensburg.

Last fall, Hope Pietrocarlo and Stefanie Parsons (both of Edinboro) placed 15th and 17th, respectively at the NCAA Cross Country National Championships. Both women were expected to return for the 2020 cross country season.
