1. Arkansas Razorbacks

Despite not being at 100%, Krissy Gear is still running at a nationally competitive level and Shafiqua Maloney is still a superstar even if she is coming off of the 800 meter prelims, making this supposed Lauren Gregory-less lineup far stronger than some may realize.

2. Virginia Tech Hokies

While there is some level of cautiousness to be had with Lindsey Butler coming off of the 800 meter prelims, the Virginia Tech veteran has proven that she is one of the strongest and most reliable distance runners in the country, leading us to believe that the Hokies could still win a national title in this event.

3. Ole Miss Rebels

The success of this relay will not depend on how well Sintayehu Vissa performs, but rather how competitive the first few legs of this lineup can be with the rest of this field.

4. Virginia Cavaliers

This relay is extremely young and lacks NCAA experience, but they have been racing with incredible poise all season long and have continued to get better as we have neared the postseason.

5. Oregon Ducks

We don't have splits from their last race, but Aneta Konieczek seems like the obvious heart and soul of this relay, which is fine, but the Ducks will need to support Konieczek a bit more if they want to contend for a national title that is seemingly wide-open for the taking.

6. Oregon State Beavers

Mitchell and Fetherstonhaugh were phenomenal last weekend, but both women have often struck me as longer distance runners, leaving me to wonder if the Beavers can replicate their middle distance magic from the other weekend.

7. Washington Huskies

On paper, this might be the best DMR lineup in the country, but some of these women will have to double back from the mile and Schadler, for as good as she has been throughout her career, hasn't been at her absolute best this winter.

8. Stanford Cardinal

Heymach is a superstar and can make any relay nationally competitive, but the Cardinal will need to find more star power in their first few legs if Heymach is going to contend with the leaders.

9. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

As long as the first three legs of this lineup avoid any mishaps, and Markezich continues to be the incredibly clutch anchor that she was in February, then this Fighting Irish relay seems like a lock to be All-Americans.

10. NC State Wolfpack

Despite Chmiel focusing on the 5k, a potential relay combination of Bush, Griffin, Vess and Shaw could absolutely be an All-American lineup, especially when you consider their mile prowess and the fact that they'll be fresh for this race.

11. BYU Cougars

With Courtney Wayment running the 5000 meters and Claire Seymour running the 800 meters, it is admittedly a bit tough to imagine the Cougars being nationally competitive in this relay, although they do have some very solid replacement legs.

12. Kentucky Wildcats

The most recognizable name on this relay is likely Tori Herman, but this entire lineup features reliable distance talents, making the Kentucky women one of the more underrated teams in the field.

Final Predictions:

  1. Virginia Tech Hokies

  2. Arkansas Razorbacks

  3. Virginia Cavaliers

  4. Ole Miss Rebels

  5. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

  6. Washington Huskies

  7. Oregon State Beavers

  8. NC State Wolfpack
