Last week, Michigan announced new additions to their 2020-2021 men's track and cross country rosters. Among those additions was Tom Dodd, a transfer from the University of Birmingham in England. According to the release, Dodd will have "two seasons" of collegiate eligibility remaining.
Dodd will join the Wolverines with strong personal bests of 1:48 (800) and 3:44 (1500). He brings valuable scoring potency to the middle distance portion of this program -- specifically in the 800 meters -- and could potentially challenge for BIG 10 indoor and outdoor titles over the next year (should competition take place).
The UK native fits perfectly into an open roster spot left behind by veteran middle distance runner Ben Hill (3:44 for 1500 meters) who will be finishing his eligibility as a graduate transfer at Wake Forest this year.
