- ANNOUNCED: California State University Campuses to Remain Online, CCAA Suspends Fall Sports
On Tuesday, California State University announced that all 23 of its campuses will continue their classes online for the upcoming fall semester due to Coronavirus concerns. A full list of the impacted campuses can be found here . In a separate, but related announcement , the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) made the decision to suspend NCAA competition for fall sports in 2020. The CCAA is a conference heavily comprised of California State University schools including many of the top distance running programs in Division II such as Chico State. The CCAA's announcement is the first known decision to continue the suspension of collegiate athletics into the fall semester. Earlier in the week, Hillsdale College in Michigan informed students that they will be having in-person classes this fall.
