Earlier today, BYU's Emma Gee announced via Instagram that she will be finishing the rest of her eligibility at Temple University to pursue a Masters degree. Gee, who owns a personal best of 10:04 in the 3000 meter steeplechase, will join the Owls with only spring eligibility left.

Gee will join a women's Temple group which has seen notable improvement under coach James Snyder over the past few years. This past winter, mile ace Millie Howard qualified for the Indoor National Championships with a personal best of 4:36 while the Owls' DMR finished the season with an NCAA #17 ranking and a flat-track converted time of 11:07.

After missing the 2019 outdoor national meet by three places, Gee will be aiming to find herself a top 12 spot at the East Regional Championships in 2021, a region which was admittedly not as deep as the West region last spring in the women's steeplechase.
