The Future of TSR

The Stride Report is slowly inching towards its four-year anniversary in March. It's crazy to think about what we have accomplished in that time and how much we have grown. Seeing the running community rally around our brand has been wildly fulfilling and it has been an absolute honor to provide you with content for as long as we have.

With that in mind, we have some big news today about the future of The Stride Report and we wanted to give you a heads up about eventual changes which will be happening in the next month.

Starting in mid-January, with a target date ranging from January 14th to January 18th, The Stride Report will be implementing a paid subscription service on our website called BOOST.

Readers will have two options when they sign up for a BOOST plan. Readers can sign up for a monthly plan or an annual plan.

The monthly plan will be $3.99 a month. The annual plan will be priced at a discounted rate. It will be $35.88 for a year, which averages out to be $2.99 a month. All subscribers will be given a one-time two-week free trial.

All of our rankings, analysis, meet previews, meet recaps, features, discussion pieces, transfer news, etc. will be part of our BOOST plan. If you do not have a BOOST plan, you will not be able to view those pieces of content.

There are, however, some pieces of content that will remain free.

Our podcasts will continue to be free.

Our TRANSFERS page will continue to be free.

Our KOLAS page will continue to be free.

Any interviews / guest features will remain free.

Any news regarding programs that are being eliminated will remain free.

Any news regarding conferences cancelling competition for a certain season will remain free.

All other pieces of news that we have not yet mentioned have the potential to remain free or be placed under the BOOST subscription plan at our discretion.

Any additional details will be released in January.

This was a difficult decision to make, but we are excited about the potential expansion opportunities that BOOST could allow us to pursue. Not only that, but BOOST could help The Stride Report become a self-sustaining platform.

For myself, trying to manage a full-time job, a promising freelance opportunity and this website has become a significant challenge. The same can be said for many of our contributors who are balancing academics, athletics, full-time jobs, relationships and social lives.

Simply put, we just don't have enough time to effectively meet the expectations and goals that we have set for this website as we currently stand.

We absolutely love The Stride Report. We have put our heart and soul into making this the best version that it can be despite our extremely limited time and resources.

We hope that you'll consider supporting an up-and-coming website with big aspirations. Our goals of expansion won't happen overnight, but we believe that we can eventually get there with the help of the community that has rallied around us for so many years.

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Stride Report. We can't wait to show you what else we have in store.

Your loyal admin,

Garrett Zatlin
