Earlier this month, three-time All-American David Mullarkey announced that he has signed a professional contract with Under Armour. The former Florida State and Northern Arizona runner will be joining the brand's Flagstaff-based pro team, UA Mission Run Dark Sky.

David Mullarkey stated,

“This is a moment that’s been years in the making and I’m incredibly grateful for the belief and opportunity to compete at this level and I honestly can’t wait to get started. Also a thank you to those that have supported me every step of the way. Whilst I can’t tell you that is going to happen in my career, I can tell you that I will continue with the same drive and passion I have always shown.”

Back in January, Mullarkey placed 26th at the 2026 World XC Championships where he represented Great Britain. Prior to that, Mullarkey achieved international success as he secured two silver medals for Great Britain over the 10k and 5k distances at the 2025 FISU World University Games in Germany.

While competing for Florida State, he claimed his first All-American accolade with a 40th place finish at the 2023 NCAA XC Championships. After transferring to Northern Arizona, he improved his cross country national meet finish to 18th place at the 2024 NCAA XC Championships.

In 2025, at his final NCAA Outdoor Championships, Mullarkey received his third All-American honor after he placed 6th over the 10,000 meters.

Mullarkey’s collegiate career consisted of four other national meet appearances, including a 10th place finish over 5k (2025), an 11th place finish over 3k (2024), an 18th place finish over 5k (2024) and a 19th place finish over 5k (2023). He holds personal bests of 7:41 (3k), 13:18 (5k) and 27:51 (10k).

Earlier this year, UA Mission Run Dark Sky also added Furman graduate, Carson Williams, to their pro training group in Flagstaff.
