NEWS: Monica Hebner Transfers to Texas

Last week, Monica Hebner announced via Instagram that she has transferred to the University of Texas. Based on results from TFRRS, Hebner has two seasons of cross country eligibility, three seasons of outdoor track eligibility and at least three seasons of indoor track eligibility remaining.

Monica will be joining her sister Isabel Hebner who also transferred to Texas in the summer of 2019 after spending one year at Penn. Monica previously ran at Duke University for one year before transferring to UCLA last summer where she also spent one year.

During her time with the Duke Blue Devils, Hebner emerged as one of the top distance running freshmen in the country. She secured a personal best of 16:45 for 5000 meters as well as a personal best of 33:52 for 10,000 meters. Hebner was also a 2019 outdoor national qualifier in the 10k as just a freshman.
