GRAD TRANSFER: Jeralyn Poe to Finish Eligibility at Northern Arizona

The Stride Report has confirmed that Jeralyn Poe (formerly of Michigan State) will be finishing the rest of her athletic eligibility at Northern Arizona while also pursuing a PhD in Ecological and Environmental Informatics. She has only one season of outdoor track eligibility remaining.

The soon-to-be NAU Lumberjack was an accomplished distance runner during her time with the Michigan State Spartans. This past winter, Poe earned a new personal best of 9:19 in the 3000 meters as well as a new personal best of 16:06 in the 5000 meters. Those performances followed a successful cross country season where Poe finished as an All-American (placing 32nd overall at the national meet).

Poe will join a Northern Arizona program that has been steadily improving on the women's side for the past couple of years. Last fall, the women's team finished 14th at the NCAA XC Championships.
