Rowan's Seth Clevenger, the 2026 NCAA Division Three champion over 3000 meters and 5000 meters this past winter, has been medically scratched from the 10,000 meters and the 5000 meters ahead of the NCAA Division Three Outdoor Championships. He is no longer listed in the national meet entries.

The news was first reported by D3 Glory Days on Instagram.

Clevenger holds personal bests of 13:32 (5k) and 29:06 (10k). That latter mark put him at NCAA #2 (in Division Three) this season. The Rowan athlete last competed at Penn Relays over 5000 meters, recording a seasonal best of 14:06.

With Clevenger now scratching from the national meet, two athletes have been entered in his place. Washington & Lee’s Sam Daunt will now have the opportunity to compete over 5000 meters while Wartburg’s Ander Julian’s will contest the 10,000 meters. Both athletes are now found in the entries.

The Rowan superstar, who transferred from Iowa State earlier this year, has faced controversy in 2026 with numerous allegations of doping being levied against him. Clevenger has denied the claims and has not received any known penalty from Rowan University or the NCAA.
