Earlier today, the NCAA Division III Presidents Council announced that all D3 NCAA 2020 fall championships have been cancelled. The decision stems from concerns surrounding the ongoing spread of the Coronavirus.
The decision, while significant, is not entirely unexpected. Most conferences competing at the Division III level have already announced that they were suspending or outright cancelling competition for fall athletics this year.
The 2020 NCAA D3 XC Championships were expected to be held on November 21st, 2020 at the LaVern Gibson cross country course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
At the time of publication, fall championships at the Division I and Division II levels have not been cancelled.
