CONFIRMED: Alex Lomong on Transfer Portal

The Stride Report has confirmed that Alex Lomong (Ohio State) is currently on the transfer portal as an eventual graduate transfer. According to TFRRS, he currently has one season of eligibility remaining in both indoor track and outdoor track. It is not yet clear when Lomong will be making his decision.

Alex Lomong is the brother of U.S. Olympian Lopez Lomong and NAU standout Peter Lomong, the 8th place finisher from the 2017 NCAA XC Championships.

During his time with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Alex secured a personal best of 1:47 for 800 meters. In 2018, he finished 4th at the BIG 10 Outdoor Championships behind top talents such as Isaiah Harris, Daniel Kuhn and Cooper Williams. Throughout the entirety of his collegiate career, Lomong has run under 1:50 for 800 meters a total of 13 times.

"Numerous schools" are currently interested in the Ohio State ace.
