CONFIRMED: Ackeen Colley Transfers to Western Illinois

Yesterday, Western Illinois University announced that Ackeen Colley will be transferring into the program to finish his undergraduate work. Colley previously spent time at American International College and Oklahoma prior to joining the WIU Leathernecks.

Colley was a two-time D2 national qualifier on the track during his time with American International. He would later transfer to the University of Oklahoma where he would secure personal bests of 1:48.62 (800), 2:25 (1k) and 4:05 (mile). Colley also finished 37th at the BIG 12 Cross Country Championships this past fall.

According to TFRRS, Colley has numerous seasons of eligibility left in both outdoor track and cross country, as well as one season of indoor track eligibility remaining.

At the moment, Colley is expected to sit out for a year. That decision, however, is not yet final.
