BREAKING: Ostberg, Ratcliffe Listed in Transfer Portal

Earlier last week, The Stride Report learned that Stanford veteran Alex Ostberg is listed in the transfer portal. Additionally, The Stride Report has confirmed Flotrack's report that Thomas Ratcliffe is also listed in the transfer portal.

The news follows the recent announcement of former teammate Matthew Rizzo transferring from Stanford to Georgetown.

Ostberg has been a veteran star during his time with the Cardinal. He secured personal bests of 3:59 (mile), 7:49 (3k) and 13:42 (5k) while also earning a 13th place finish, a 16th place finish and a 25th place finish at the NCAA XC Championships.

As for Ratcliffe, he has battled injuries during his time at Stanford. However, when healthy, he has been absolutely phenomenal. Last spring, Ratcliffe finished 3rd at the Outdoor National Championships after running a 5k PR of 13:32 earlier in the season. Ratcliffe has also run 7:53 for 3000 meters (unattached) and 4:00 for the mile.

According to TFRRS, Ostberg has only one season of outdoor track eligibility left. Ratcliffe has one season of cross country eligibility and (potentially) two seasons of indoor track and outdoor track eligibility.
