BREAKING: Aaron Bienenfeld To Finish Eligibility At Oregon

Earlier today, Aaron Bienenfeld announced that he will be finishing his eligibility with the Oregon Ducks as a graduate transfer starting next fall. The announcement comes just eight days after TSR reported that Bienenfeld was on the transfer portal. After finishing this academic year at Cincinnati, the Bearcat ace is expected to have all three seasons of eligibility remaining.

The addition of Bienenfeld to Oregon's 2021 roster is massive. The Ducks have already been headlined by an elite front-runner in Cooper Teare as well as a promising sophomore standout in Cole Hocker and an accomplished 5k runner in Jackson Mestler. With a deep roster that is crowded by veterans and young talents, the Oregon men were seemingly one piece away from becoming true favorites for the podium.

Now, it appears that they have found that final piece.

Bienenfeld will bring personal bests of 13:42 (5k) and 28:46 (10k) to an Oregon squad that is expected to wield a heavy amount of scoring potency. The soon-to-be Oregon Duck went undefeated during the 2019 collegiate cross country season, winning the Great Lakes regional title before opting to run in the German U23 Cross Country Trials instead of the NCAA Championships.
