GRAD TRANSFER: Nate Beamer to Finish Eligibility at Western Washington

The Stride Report has confirmed that Washington's Nate Beamer will finish the rest of his athletic eligibility at Western Washington University as a graduate transfer next year. Beamer still has eligibility in all three seasons (cross country, indoor track, outdoor track).

Beamer was one of the more underrated milers on Washington's roster over the years. The soon-to-be Western Washington graduate student earned personal bests of 4:02 (mile) and 3:46 (1500) during his time with the Huskies. Beamer was an extremely consistent miler who never ran slower than 4:09 in the nine times that he competed in the event during his collegiate career (according to TFRRS).

Western Washington will be receiving a top middle distance talent who will immediately jump into the D2 national title conversation in both the mile and 1500 meters next winter and spring. Beamer's PR of 4:02.41 would have been the fastest mile time in Division Two this past winter (regardless of conversions).
