GRAD TRANSFER: Henry Raymond to Finish Eligibility at Arizona State

Updated: May 22, 2020

Earlier this week, Arizona State announced that Dartmouth's Henry Raymond will finish the rest of his collegiate eligibility with the Sun Devils as a graduate transfer. According to TFRRS, Raymond has one season of indoor track eligibility and one season of outdoor track eligibility. It is unclear if Raymond will have cross country eligibility.

The soon-to-be Sun Devil owns personal bests of 2:25 (1k), 3:45 (1500), 4:02 (mile) and 8:13 (3k). He will join an Arizona State program which also recruited former Princeton runners Garrett O'Toole and Will Paulson as well as former Arkansas runner Alex George.

Raymond was the 2019 Ivy League champion in the 1500 meters and the 8th place finisher at the 2018 Ivy League XC Championships. He joins a plethora of Ivy League seniors who were unable to use their additional eligibility due to long-standing conference rules. Names include Conor Lundy (North Carolina), Allen Siegler (North Carolina), Steve Neumaier (Oregon), and the Daly twins (Notre Dame).

Raymond will team up with 4:04 miler Fearghal Curtin -- a transfer from Charleston Southern -- on the track this upcoming winter and spring.
