GRAD TRANSFER: Hannah Reinhardt to Finish Eligibility at Oregon

Earlier today, The Stride Report learned that University of Albany standout Hannah Reinhardt will finish the rest of her collegiate eligibility at Oregon as a graduate transfer. Reinhardt currently has one season of outdoor track eligibility remaining and is in the process of receiving a medical redshirt for an additional season of indoor track.

Reinhardt has been one of the NCAA's more underrated distance talents during her time with the Albany Great Danes. This past fall, she won the Northeast Regional Championships in cross country and finished 3rd in a competitive field at Paul Short. Her regional title qualified her for the 2019 NCAA XC Championships where she finished 99th overall.

On the track, Reinhardt has quietly racked up a handful of impressive marks. At the Stanford Invitational last spring, the Albany ace posted a personal best of 16:06 for 5000 meters. Reinhardt also owns PRs of 9:21 (3k), 4:45 (mile) and 4:24 (1500).

The Oregon women will be adding an accomplished veteran in Reinhardt to make up for the departure of numerous top talents over the past two years. Next indoor season, the Oregon women will be without top distance talents such as Carmela Cardama Baez, Weronika Pyzik, Amanda Gehrich and Isabelle Brauer (all according to TFRRS).

Despite being in greater need of a scorer with cross country eligibility, the Ducks will happily welcome a graduate transfer who should be plenty competitive in the often loaded PAC-12 conference.

Reinhardt gained national attention this past fall after publishing a piece on the American East conference website. The Albany standout spoke about the challenges she faced throughout her childhood and how running allowed her to have an outlet.
