GRAD TRANSFER: Dawson LaRance To Finish Eligibility at Colorado State

Earlier today, Colorado State announced that Dawson LaRance (formerly of Minnesota) will be joining the Rams as a graduate transfer starting this winter. According to TFRRS, he has one season of eligibility remaining for cross country and indoor track, as well as two seasons of eligibility remaining for outdoor track.

LaRance was a highly accomplished middle distance runner during his time with the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Montana native owns personal bests of 1:48 (800) and 4:09 (mile). He finished 2nd at the 2020 BIG 10 Indoor Track & Field Championships and was a member of Minnesota's DMR which qualified for the 2020 indoor national meet (which was ultimately cancelled due to COVID-19).

LaRance is departing a Minnesota program which recently lost their men's indoor track team, although the university did opt to retain their men's outdoor program. Earlier this year, The Stride Report interviewed LaRance to get his thoughts on Minnesota's decision to eliminate their men's track teams.
