GRAD TRANSFER: Carter Blunt to Finish Eligibility at Georgetown

Earlier this week, John Carter Blunt (formerly of UCLA) announced that he will be joining the Georgetown Hoyas as a graduate transfer. He will have two seasons of cross country eligibility and two seasons of outdoor track eligibility remaining.

During his time with UCLA, Blunt secured strong personal bests of 3:44 (1500), 4:02 (mile), 8:08 (3k) and 14:19 (5k). The former Bruin has raced sparingly over the last few seasons, but has been quietly very dangerous whenever he does toe the line.

Blunt will join former UCLA teammate Robert Brandt who is also heading to Georgetown as a graduate transfer later this year. Together, Blunt and Brandt will add valuable veteran experience to a team that just lost standout 1500 meter runner Spencer Brown.

Earlier this month, it was also announced that UCLA's Chris Morzenti (4:02 miler) will finish his eligibility at Portland as a graduate transfer.
