As we near the beginning of the postseason season, teams are fielding certain lineups that don’t include their top runners. We had a few programs continue their performances this week and build upon the season they already have. We had an athlete that fell out last week make their way back in. Most of this list, however, was idle given conference is nearing.
Let’s get started...
Austin Pasch (Minnesota State)
Hosava Kretzmann (Fort Lewis)
Nathan Schroeder (Augustana (S.D.))
Joshua Chepkesir (UNC Pembroke)
Silus Kipkoech (UNC-Pembroke)
Eddie King (Chico State)
Rowan Doherty (Simon Fraser)
Pierre-Louis Detourbe (Simon Fraser)
Falling Out
Tom Goforth (Saginaw Valley State)
Western Oregon was idle this weekend.
We finally saw Colorado Mines debut their best team and with it came a dominant performance from Colligan. He was the overall winner from the Pre-Nationals meet at Slippery Rock this past weekend. With that, he saw a 12 second gap form between him and 2nd place while covering the course in 24:56. Colligan will make his way back up this list after conference and regionals.
Nolan competed at the Festival Year Fiasco where he took home the victory. He ran 25:11 while his teammate was close behind in 2nd place. They were both 24 seconds ahead of 3rd place. This looked like a prep race for Southern Indiana's conference meet and we’d expect Nolan to be in the running for an individual conference title.
CSU-Pueblo was idle this weekend.
Western Colorado University (still a weird ring to it) was idle this weekend.
Kimutai raced once again this weekend along with most of his teammates. Four Missouri Southern men finished within six seconds of each other. Kimutai finished in 2nd place overall and was less than a second behind his teammate. This looked to be a workout for the Missouri Southern squad. Kimutai looks ready for the upcoming championship season and despite his heavy racing schedule, I think we will see continued success in the future.
SW Minnesota State was idle this weekend.
Adams State was idle this weekend.
Lee (Tenn.) was idle this weekend.
Dallas Baptist was idle this weekend.
Washburn was idle this weekend.
Adams State was idle this weekend.
Western Colorado University was idle this weekend.
Phillips was apart of the team scenarios this weekend that saw entire varsity squads finish essentially right next to each other. He won the Mount Marty Invite, but finished .2 ahead of his teammate. Phillips is looking to repeat as the NSIC champion and he looks to be in very good form to do just that.
CSU-Pueblo was idle this weekend.
Adams State was idle this weekend.
American International was idle this weekend.
Grand Valley State was idle this weekend.

Most of these performances could be thrown out the window as they looked to be workouts or learning how to run as a pack. Essentially, very good tune ups for these athletes. Once we get through conference weekend, we will know a whole lot more about each of these individuals. I don’t expect much action for this upcoming weekend, but keep your eyes peeled for some late racing.
Cheers.
