BREAKING: Conor Lundy to Finish Eligibility at North Carolina

Earlier today, The Stride Report was able to confirm that Princeton's Conor Lundy will be finishing his indoor and outdoor track eligibility at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) next year as a graduate transfer. Lundy no longer has cross country eligibility.

The move comes in the wake of the Ivy League disallowing current seniors to use their newly granted spring eligibility during the 2021 outdoor season. Lundy was one of many Ivy League talents who have reportedly "flooded" the transfer portal according to sources.

Lundy was a top distance talent during his time at Princeton. As a freshman, he finished 19th at the 2016 Nuttycombe Invite during cross country. He would eventually qualify for three NCAA Cross Country Championships throughout his career as well as the 2018 NCAA Outdoor National Championships in the 5000 meters.

With personal bests of 3:45 (1500), 7:58 (3000) and 13:53 (5000), Lundy will offer an incredible boost in firepower to UNC's current distance group.
